I find myself not using twitter very often because, what can you really say in 140 characters? I see questions that I would answer, but I think there is no amount of shorthand that can answer that question, so I don’t bother. What is left after that are opinions, and, well….. everyone’s got one, so why throw mine in the mix. As I am winding down a 12 or 13 day juice fast, (I lost count) I thought I would shed some light on it, as I do get asked about it quite frequently and really believe in the power of it. Maybe I will take some time with some other subjects in the future, but for now, I will tackle some basics about juicing. When I am not fasting I still juice most days and always feel better when I do.

A couple things to consider before you get down to it. Continue reading »

“In WWE.com’s second Attitude Era–centric interview in celebration of THQ’s revolutionary “WWE ’13,” we sit down with former WWE Women’s Champion and fan favorite Lita to talk about the days when Attitude ruled the ring. Lita dishes about the differences between the Divas division now and then, and what WWE Universe members are telling her about WWE ’13.”

WWE.COM: What is your favorite Attitude Era moment?

LITA: One thing that really sticks out to me is when D-Generation X went and took over the show at WCW with the tank. The whole Attitude Era was about pushing the envelope, and [the tank incident] was one of those, no matter how smart you think you are, you were like, whoa! That’s really happening. They’re going to get into trouble over that.

So that was pretty exciting. I was at that WCW show, in the audience.

WWE.COM: What is your favorite Attitude Era moment you were involved in?

LITA: I could make a laundry list. I think the first thing for me that was definitely Attitude Era–based and my first really main storyline with WWE was with Eddie Guerrero & Chyna vs. myself & Essa Ríos. [I was] the first woman Chyna interacted with, and to be in there with them was great. They had their funny story going on, and you never knew what my story was with Essa Ríos, so that was one.

I think also, when I had a run in with Triple H & Steve Austin when they were together as The Two-Man Power Trip. Looking back on that, I was just excited to be out there with Triple H and “Stone Cold.”

WWE.COM: What are the differences between Attitude Era Women and today’s Divas?

LITA: I think the women of The Attitude Era really did a good job at figuring out who they were and what they wanted to portray to the fans. So each woman was such an individual — you were never going to get Lita and Ivory confused. You’re not going to get the two confused, as opposed to now, is it the hot athletic girl with the short shorts on? No, it’s the other hot athletic girl with the short shorts on. It was about setting yourself apart.

WWE.COM: Which Diva today would best fit in The Attitude Era? Is there a Diva today you’d most like to compete against?

LITA: I think it’s interesting to see the Divas of today and to see who the fans are attaching to. Obviously, right now, it’s AJ Lee, who’s not the strongest; she’s not one of those classically hot chicks. But she sets herself apart, and you have emotion when she’s out there and you get a sense of who she is, and so I think that’s really cool to see the kid that wasn’t supposed to make it being the one that’s out there, and that’s who the fans want to know more about.

WWE.COM: If you had to pick the definitive Superstar or Woman of The Attitude Era, who would you go with?

LITA: Wow. I feel like that’s really hard to answer. There’s definitely a figurehead I could go with who embodied the whole Attitude Era, but I feel like the one thing that was just — from the time the show started to the time the show ended — stuff was going crazy whether it was Val Venis and you thought his towel was going to fall off that night, or if it was Crash Holly running through the hotel trying to regain his 24/7 Hardcore Title, or whether it was more like the big stars like DX, Rock, Mick Foley and Austin.

I think classically, Austin would embody The Attitude Era in a nutshell, but he had a pretty damn good supporting cast.

WWE.COM: “WWE ’13” has the entire WWE Universe talking. What are your thoughts on the game?

LITA: It’s fun for me to see the fans tweet about the matches they’re creating in “WWE ’13.” It’s as close as you could possibly get to having this match ever happen. Fans have been tweeting me these matches that never happened that should have. Fans are creating the matches right before their very eyes, as close to real as you can ever get.

“If you haven’t yet picked up “WWE ’13,” then what are you waiting for?! Get your copy today and relive The Attitude Era!”

Project 961 – the radio station in Atlanta that Amy has broadcasted her radio show PunkRockAlypse on for the past five years has shut down. Amy posted the following on PRA’s Facebook page:

“Thanks so much, and you’re welcome for 5 great years of PunkRockalypse on the Project. I don’t get why the new bosses don’t think Taylor Swift and Henry Rollins aren’t two peas in a pod. That being said, check back here and @AmyDumas on twitter to find out where you can listen our ramblings and killer punk rock once we find a new door to kick in and call home.”

If and/or when PunkRockAlypse returns, I will let everyone know immediately. Until then, a huge thank you to Amy and Swan for 5 awesome years of punk rock.
